rack was first licensed in Jan. of 1954 as WN5CRP, then became W5CRP.  Ira
        Bradley W5JDZ said I got a retread call.  

     
Crack upgraded to the REAL Extra class in 1984 before an FCC examiner
         at the Dallas Hamcom convention.  
        
       
Crack gave up his retread call in Nov. 1996 and got W5LH via the Vanity call
         system.  Now living in Buffalo Gap, Texas south of Abilene, Texas.  Buffalo
         Gap is sometimes referred to as Bison Crack, hence the nickname "Crack".
